Bank Reconciliations

Bank reconciliations are the basics of good bookkeeping, consequently they must be completed with consideration.

The process involves recording of transactions in the chosen accounting software.
It is important that your entries reflect what has taken place in bank accounts etc.

Accounts Receivable & Debtor Management

Sometimes managing debtors can be a tedious, especially if you are having some slow paying customers. Some of the ways we can assist you with this are:

Raising and sending your invoices and statements on your behalf.
Preparing debtor reports at frequency that suits you.
Chasing outstanding balances, or other collection activities you may require.

Accounts Payable & Creditor Management

We aim to help you stay on top of your bills. For instance, some of the ways we can assist you is by:

Receiving, entering and recording payment for invoices.
Reconciling statements and conversing with creditors for missing or queried invoices.
Producing regular creditors reports.
Preparing and managing payments.

End of Year Processes

We can work together with your accountant. For example we can supply them with the documents we have collected at tax time, so that you can stay focused on the now.

Following this, we help in answering any of their queries, leading to the quick complete your tax returns etc.

Once they have finalised and lodged your returns, we reconcile them to your software. This includes completing adjusting journals, roll over / close the financial year in your accounting software.

This therefore keeps your reports current and reflective of the state of your business, providing you with confidence in your own numbers.

We deal in many kinds of software, most notably MYOB and Xero Online. We also have experience with a number of add on solutions such as Workshop Software; Mechanics Desk, Hubdoc.

We can assist you by configuring an accounting file in your chosen software. This may include a chart of accounts set-up, payroll setup, and assignment of default GST tax codes.

Software Training

We can provide guidance on the effective and accurate use of your accounting software.

We can tailor a training package to suit your needs, including designer solutions. Alternatively, we can also do a single training session based on the user’s individual needs.

We find it’s easier for you to learn when you are in the driving seat, so we take a hand on approach and direct you around your software, stepping you through the day to day processes, through to more complex trouble shooting that might come up after you have mastered the basics.

Following training sessions, we can also check transactions for you and provide feedback on processes, allocations, and accuracy of transactions.

Policy and Procedures

Do you need assistance in creating or maintaining your policies and procedures. I can assist you, with many years’ experience in the development and implementation of policies and procedures I can get you started on this mammoth task.
